Northern Tiger Resources Inc. (NTR:TSX-V) is a new public company focused on exploring in the Dawson Range copper-gold-silver-molybdenum mineral district, Yukon Territory, Canada. Through its transactions with Firestone Ventures Inc. and Minto Explorations Ltd., a subsidiary of Sherwood Copper Corp., Northern Tiger has a 100% interest in seven mineral properties in this historic mining area.
In addition, Northern Tiger and Minto Explorations Ltd. have entered into a Regional Exploration Alliance which provides for input and cooperation on planning and executing exploration programs and long term strategies for the area, sharing of proprietary technical expertise to assist in exploration and project advancement and access to MintoEx's infrastructure to facilitate exploration in the region.
The Dawson Range district is located 230 kilometres northwest of Whitehorse, Yukon and hosts a producing mine (Minto Explorations Ltd. copper-gold open-pit Minto mine), several advanced projects and exploration programs. Yukon Energy has begun construction of a new transmission power line, including a spur line to the Minto mine.
Northern Tiger is currently drilling on the Sonora gold-silver-copper property and is conducting regional exploration for Minto-style mineralization and other mineral targets.
